Museum Motor Klasik SMK NMC opened in March 2022. It originated from a project initiated by the school’s teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic, who restored classic motorcycles as a practical educational project. This evolved into a public museum to preserve automotive history and support hands-on learning. 

The museum supports curriculum integration where students gain practical experience understanding historical vehicular technologies and bridge these insights with modern automotive engineering.

The museum is categorized as a specialized museum focusing on classic motorcycles and related mechanical exhibits. 

Key items in the museum’s collection include:

  • Classic motorcycles from the 1930s through the 1990s, including iconic Vespa, Yamaha RX, and Honda CB series. 
  • A Suzuki A100 from 1973, one of Suzuki’s first motorcycle models in Indonesia. 
  • A Honda CB100 featured in popular Indonesian film Dilan 1990
  • Rare vintage Vespas such as the SS90 and Douglas models. 

These exhibits not only showcase transportation history but also trace the evolution of motorcycle technology over several decades.

The museum is managed by SMK National Media Center staff, with Azhar Arkho, S.AB., MM serving as the primary administrator. The museum’s function extends beyond display—it acts as a learning hub and community resource for automotive heritage, aligning with national museum standards.
