New Entry Requirements for Java, Bali, and Bangka Belitung Islands

 

Are you planning to have a Christmas or year-end holidays and travel out of town? Then, you should know that due to anticipating the rise in Covid-19 cases on the Christmas and year-end holidays, several local governments have imposed new provisions. Therefore, you must learn some important information regarding the requirements for incoming and outgoing flights that apply in several regions in Indonesia, such as Java, Bali, and Bangka Belitung.

Those of you who want to travel to Java, Bali, and Bangka Belitung, should pay attention to the new entry requirements below:

1 | Based on the Circular Letter of Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 Number 3 of 2020 and Circular Letter of the Ministry of Transportation No. 22 of 2020 which takes effect from 21 December 2020 - 8 January 2021, if you are going to travel using air transportation to and from Java Island via the airports below:

○ Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) Tangerang

○ Bandung Husein Sastranegara International Airport (BDO)

○ Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) Kulonprogo

○ Adi Soemarmo International Airport (SOC) Solo

○ Ahmad Yani International Airport (SRG) Semarang

○ Juanda International Airport (SUB) Surabaya

○ Rachman Saleh International Airport (MLG) Malang

○ Banyuwangi International Airport (BWX) Banyuwangi

You must show a certificate of negative results from the rapid antigen test maximum of 3 x 24 hours before departure or a PCR-based swab test maximum of 7 days before departure.

Passengers who are children under 12 years of age are not required to have a PCR-based swab test result/rapid antigen/antibody test result as a condition for travel (does not require any Covid-19 free certificate).

2 | Based on the provisions of the Decree of the Governor of Bali No. 2021 of 2020 which applies from 19 December - 4 January 2021, if you want to go to Bali using air transportation, you must follow these conditions:

○ Passengers are required to show a certificate of negative PCR-based swab test results with a maximum validity of 7 days before departure

○ While in Bali, travelers are required to have a negative PCR-based swab test with a maximum validity period of 14 days from the issuance of a health facility (results of rapid antigen are not accepted)

○ For passengers departing from Bali, the negative results of the PCR-based swab test issued at the Bali Provincial health facilities which are still valid 14 days from the issuance of the health facilities can be used for trips outside Bali.

○ Passengers under 12 years of age are not required to have a Covid-19 free certificate (either swab/rapid)

Passengers heading to Bali by the following categories are NOT MANDATORY to have negative results of the PCR-based swab test and can use the non-reactive results of the rapid antigen/antibody tests that are still valid according to the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia which is valid for 14 days:

● Passengers in transit and not leaving the airport

● Divert passengers

● Passengers who come from areas where there are no PCR test facilities can use the rapid antigen test results (at the departure/arrival airports)

● ASN/TNI/POLRI who received a sudden assignment/direction

3 | Based on the Letter of the Governor of Bangka Belitung Islands No.550 / 1051 / DISHUB which took effect from 21 December 2020 - 8 January 2021, if you are planning to go to Bangka Belitung Islands Province, you must pay attention to the following important things:

○ Every person traveling in and out of Bangka Belitung Islands Province is required to submit a certificate of rapid antigen test results or PCR-based swab tests with a non-reactive or negative information status issued by a legal Health Service Institution owned by the government, BUMN, or private sector

○ Children under 12 years of age are required to submit a negative rapid antigen/antibody certificate.
