"The installation is a picture of three flames, symbolizing the three topics that the Indonesian government is promoting for this event," said Visual Creative Consultant for the G20 Summit (KTT) Elwin Mok, to the G20 Communications and Media Team, in Nusa Dua, Bali, Tuesday ( 15/11/2022).

As the leader of the country host of the presidency, President Joko Widodo has the right to determine the main issues of the G20 Summit to be discussed at the conference. The three main topics which were then discussed on the 1st day of G20 Summit 2022 are the strengthening of global health architecture, digital transformation, and energy transition.

Social Lunch by The Beach

The event was then continued with a Social Lunch attended by the leaders of the G20 countries and other invited guests. The activity was held at the Bamboo Dome, Ocean Front Lawn, Apurva Kempinski Hotel, Nusa Dua - Bali in the afternoon right after the discussion.

Situated on the beachfront, the Bamboo Dome, which is an art installment prepared exclusively to welcome G20 delegates and guests in the Social Lunch event, can be seen from the hotel lobby platform where the same G20 Summit took place. In the 800 square meter dining room, 43 seats are provided with a large circular table layout so that leaders and delegates can enjoy Indonesian cuisine together.

Bamboo holds a deep philosophy. It is easy to be curved because of its flexible, elastic, and adaptive nature. Furthermore, bamboo buildings are also known to be the most durable against earthquake shocks. The design of the Bamboo Dome is also derived from the philosophy of Balinese life and the symbol of the G20, which has the form of a summit.

Indonesia, as the host, served traditional menus including various vegetarian-friendly cuisines. For non-vegetarians, the appetizer menu was served with Bangka shrimp lettuce, rujak spiced squid, and sate pusut (traditional beef skewers) from Mandalika.
