One of the highest vaccination rates

As of now, Indonesia’s national vaccination program has given about 100 million doses of vaccine, from its initial implementation in January 2021. As of 14 November 2021, the official website of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia has reported Bali as one of the provinces in the nation with the highest number of first doses of vaccination, reaching a percentage of 100.8 (equals to 3,432,366 people) from the targeted goal. Moreover, the data recorded by the Ministry of Health also showed that Bali has achieved the second place for the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination as well, with a percentage of 87.72 (equals to 2.986.000 people) from the targeted goal.

It was Bali’s recent vaccination rates that encouraged the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, to reopen the international flights of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali, as an effort to revitalize the island’s economy.

Other than gaining a place as one of the provinces with the highest vaccination rates, Bali has also earned a position as one of the provinces with the highest CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability) certifications. As of November 2021, the official CHSE website, has recorded that more than 2,117 tourism businesses in Bali have received CHSE certifications, surpassing the targeted number which aimed for 1,200 businesses at the end of October. According to the Head of Superintending Company of Indonesia (Sucofindo) of Denpasar Branch, Dedih Budiawan Sugianto, Bali holds the most CHSE certification quota among other provinces in Indonesia. Through CHSE, your safety, health, hygiene, and comfort while traveling in Bali can be assured. Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, has said that the CHSE certification “is part of a new lifestyle that opens Bali with caution, carefulness, and compliance to health protocols.”

Safety protocols for every visitor

As one of the provinces with the highest vaccination rates and highest CHSE certifications, Bali guarantees safety protocols for all of its visitors, which includes mask usage, social distancing, and daily handwashing. The island has been recognized as one of the tourist destinations that have implemented strict health protocols. This can be evident from the island’s successful vaccination program, the implementation of CHSE health protocols, as well as how the island went the extra mile to ensure the safety of all by employing strict health protocols on numerous public facilities.
