Indonesia Reopens Public Places and Facilities to Enter "Transition Period" of Large Scale Social Restrictions

 

The Provincial Government of the Jakarta Capital Special Region announced that starting from 12 October 2020, it will impose Transitional Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB Transisi). All public places including museums, theme parks, gyms, water parks, indoor sports facility, and worship places will be allowed to open with strict requirements of protocol implementation based on the Governor Regulation of the Jakarta Capital Special Region No. 101 the Year 2020 and the Governor’s Decree No. 1020 the Year 2020 regarding the Changes over Transitional Large Scale Social Restrictions.

It is important to note that the effectiveness of this policy is being monitored and will be adjusted according to the result. The transition period is planned to end on 25 October 2020. Until then, all the reopenings and reactivations, which should strictly follow the Cleanliness-Health-Safety-Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) protocols including the limitation of visitors/passengers to 25% or 50% capacity, will be evaluated from time to time.
