Bali is Getting Ready to Host The AVPN 2022

Following the success of international events that have been held successfully in Indonesia, from sports, music events, exhibitions, to state official meetings,  Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, revealed that the preparation for Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) that will be held in Bali from 21 to 24 June 2022, had reached about 80-85% completion. During a weekly press conference in Jakarta on Monday, Sandiaga stated, “AVPN Global Conference, as a side event of G20 Presidency, is hoped to proceed well so that it could give a maximum impact.”

Featuring over 6 plenaries, 42 breakout sessions, workshops, networking experiences, and smaller sessions, this year’s AVPN will focus on the continent’s climate action, gender, health & nutrition, as well as economic opportunities. With the theme of “Catalyzing Action Towards the Asian Decade”, AVPN attempts to gather the appropriate response Asia has to take onwards when the continent has met the Sustainable Development Goals in 2030. The next decade will generate a myriad of opportunities for social investors to take full advantage of.

The nation’s collaboration with AVPN is expected to build a network that could connect stakeholders to open the access for philanthropy financing the local tourism and creative economy industry, as well as gain the trust of the world to hold MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) activities in Indonesia.

Regarding the logistics, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has reviewed the venue’s preparation, stakeholders, target audiences, health protocols, registrations, visas, etc. While for the publication, the Ministry is going to promote AVPN through the official website and social media of AVPN, G20, and the Ministry itself.

A myriad of high-end resorts and exciting leisure spots are available for the participants to enjoy during their stay in Bali. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has appointed Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort as the official resort and trusted host of AVPN. The venue for the conference, Nusa Dua, is known for its wide array of attractions, including five-star restaurants, deluxe spas, golf courses, art museums, along with a white stretching beach that faces the vast Indian Ocean.

About 500 people from all over the world are confirmed to participate in this prestigious conference with over 300 registrants still in the curation process as of 17 March 2022

“The public’s participation is carefully taken care of through a high curation level so the organization can result in discussions that yield solutions,” said the Minister.

He also revealed that the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, would be present in AVPN to kick off the conference.
