Second Home Visa is Now Available for Foreign Nationals Planning to Stay in Indonesia for up to 10 Years!

Have you ever dreamed of making Bali or other beautiful destinations in Indonesia your second home? This is your chance! On 25 October 2022, The Directorate General of Immigration (DGI) Ministry of Law and Human Rights officially launched the second-home visa, whose details are stated in Circular Number IMI-0740.GR.01.01 of 2022 concerning the Granting of a Second-Home Visa and Temporary Stay Permit, issued on Tuesday, 25 October 2022.

"In welcoming the G20 Summit, we are officially launching the second-home visa starting today. The goal is to attract international tourists to come to Bali as well as many other destinations," stated Acting General Director of Immigration Widodo Ekatjahjana at the launch of a second-home visa in Bali on Tuesday (25/10/2022).

Widodo invites tourism stakeholders to Bali since collaboration is essential for a better tourism environment. The subject of the second-home visa is particular Foreign Nationals or ex-Indonesian citizens who are intending to stay and contribute positively to the Indonesian economy. With this visa, Foreign Nationals can stay for 5 (five) or 10 (ten) years and carry out various activities, such as investment and other activities.

"This immigration policy is one of the non-fiscal incentives that can act as a stimulus for particular Foreign Nationals to stay and contribute positively to the Indonesian economy amidst increasingly dynamic global economic conditions," he hoped.

With this visa, foreigners can stay for 5 (five) or 10 (ten) years and carry out various activities, such as investment and other activities.
