About Event

The Festival Pesona Minangkabau (FPM) is an event held to preserve the cultural values of Minangkabau, while promoting the tourism and cultural charm of Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra. By highlighting local culture and wisdom, FPM serves as a showcase for cultural performances, traditional dance and song, exhibitions of heirlooms, and creative economy displays.

This event will take place at Istano Basa Pagaruyung and will include a variety of activities, such as the Minangkabau Cultural Showcase, Traditional Minangkabau Silat Performances, Matrilineal Festival and Heirloom Exhibition, Minangkabau Culinary Market, Pacu Jawi (traditional bull racing), Minangkabau Songket Fashion Show, Authentic Minangkabau Day, Nagari Tourism Village Festival, and other performances presented by artists from districts and cities across West Sumatra, Riau, Malaysia, and other Malay communities. It is no wonder that FPM has become the largest cultural and tourism event celebrating Minangkabau heritage in West Sumatra.
