Dieng Culture Festival

The Dieng Culture Festival (DCF) is a community-driven annual cultural event held in the Dieng Plateau, Banjarnegara. Its main highlight is the sacred ruwatan ritual for children with dreadlocked hair, complemented by cultural parades, purification rites, blessings, and the symbolic hair-floating ceremony. DCF also features traditional art performances, MSME exhibitions, communal prayers, Dieng clean-up activities, and the iconic Simfoni Dieng concert enjoyed on the grass. As a vibrant meeting space for diverse visitors, DCF promotes Dieng’s natural and cultural charm while strengthening Indonesia’s spirit of unity in diversity.
