Festival Budaya Lembah Baliem

The 34th Baliem Valley Cultural Festival 2026 showcases the rich heritage of the Hubula tribe and the tourism potential of Jayawijaya Regency. Held in Wamena, the festival features traditional dances, cultural performances, youth sports games such as sikoko and puradan, pig racing, and Bakar Batu (stone cooking). The grand finale includes a Nusantara cultural carnival and collaboration with dancers from Papua New Guinea, highlighting shared cultural ties. This festival attracts both domestic and international visitors, promoting Wamena as a unique destination where tradition, art, and local wisdom come alive.
