The Java Jazz Festival (JJF) this year presents the tagline: "Celebrate Jazz in Diversity". Indonesia is built upon diverse culture, and jazz as a musical genre is also formed from diverse roots and intertwined with other genres. Among the many 'colors' of jazz are smooth jazz with a touch of R&B, fusion jazz with elements of rock and funk, acid jazz with psychedelic twists, as well as other subgenres such as Dixieland, swing, bebop, hard bop, cool jazz, free jazz, and a whole lot more. These groovy genres will be presented under one uniting flag of Jazz, and you can enjoy JJF in the jazz capital of Asia.
