Konser Elton John di Sentul International Convention Center, Bogor

November ini, Indonesia akan disuguhkan salah satu konser megah dari legenda musik dunia yaitu Elton John. Penampilan Elton John yang pertama kalinya di Indonesia akan berlangsung pada 17 November 2012, di Sentul International Convention Center, Bogor yang lokasinya tidak begitu jauh dari Jakarta.
Konser Elton John ini merupakan bagian dari tur dunianya yang bertajuk “Greatest Hits Tour” dan akan dimulai pada awal November dari Latvia sampai ke Australia. Elton John akan membawa band lamanya yang terdiri dari Davey Johnstone, Nigel Olsson, Robert Birch, Kim Bullard dan John Mahon, dan empat backing vocal yaitu Rose Batu (Sly dan The Family Stone), Lisa Bank, Tata Vega, dan Jean Witherspoon.
Selama 40 tahun karirnya dalam dunia musik, Elton John telah memenangkan 5 Grammy Awards, menjual lebih dari 250 juta album di seluruh dunia dan terus melakukan lebih dari 100 pertunjukkan setiap tahunnya. Prestasi tersebut menempatkan dirinya di antara top 10 artis terlaris dalam sejarah musik.
Selain menjadi pianis pop-rock yang paling sukses di dunia, Elton John juga menjalankan sebuah perusahaan manajemen artis dan yayasan AIDS yang sudah berjalan di 55 negara. Hasil dari penjualan lagunya, "Candle In The Wind" tahun 1997 sebesar lebih dari 40 juta Dollar Amerika disumbangkan untuk amal setelah kematian temannya Putri Diana.
Legenda pop ini merilis album solo pertamanya “Empty Sky” pada 1969 dan 1970. Elton John merupakan anggota dari Rock dan Roll Hall Of Fame. Selain Grammy Awards, ia juga memenangkan Academy Award dan Tony Award. Pada 2008 Billboard menganugerahinya sebagai artis paling sukses setelah The Beatles dan Madonna.
Konser ini akan menjadi kesempatan terbaik untuk menyaksikan penampilan Elton langsung di atas panggung. Elton John akan membawakan lagu-lagu klasiknya seperti: “Your Song”,”Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)”, ”Rocket Man”, ”Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”, ”Candle In The Wind”, ”Tiny Dancer”, ”Crocodile Rock”, ”I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues”, dan ”Sad Songs (Say So Much)”, dan masih banyak lagi.
Konser ini juga akan menampilkan bintang tamu khusus 2CELLOS, yaitu duet Luka Sulic dan Stjepan Hauser asal Kroasia. Kesuksesan 2CELLOS dimulai pada Januari 2011 ketika mereka mengunggah sebuah video ke YouTube dimana mereka berduet memainkan cello dalam lagu "Smooth Criminal” milik Michael Jackson. Hanya dalam beberapa minggu, video tersebut menjadi sensasi pengguna internet dan dilihat lebih dari 5 juta pengunjung dari seluruh dunia. Mereka kemudian diundang oleh Elton John langsung untuk bergabung dalam tur dunianya.
