Indonesia wins PATA Gold Award for Total Solar Eclipse Campaign

PATA (The Pacific Asia Travel Association) has  just announced its Grand and Gold Awards for 2016 where Indonesia won 3 Gold Awards.  The Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia won the Marketing-Primary Government Destination Gold Award for its marketing campaign in attracting visitors to Indonesia for the the Total Solar Eclipse of 2016.   

Dr. Mario Hardy, PATA CEO, stated that: “On behalf of PATA, I would like to congratulate the 2016 Grand and Gold Award winners and to thank all of this year’s participants for their submissions. This year’s winners exemplify the values of the Association in working towards a more responsible travel and tourism industry in the Asia Pacific region and we look forward to celebrating their accomplishments at the PATA Gold Awards luncheon and presentation at PATA Travel Mart 2016 in Indonesia.

The Awards will be officially handed to the winners during PATA Travel Mart  2016 to be presented on  Friday, 9 September 2016 at the  newly established Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) Hall in Greater Jakarta, in the Banten province.
