The first ever Indonesia Ultimate Golf Series, an exciting and innovative new amateur golf series is set to launch with the first game on 3rd November 2016 at the Emeralda Golf Course in Jakarta. The series will bring together golf enthusiasts from all over the globe not only to some of the world’s top class golf courses in Indonesia, but moreover, the opportunity to enjoy some fascinating wonders of the archipelago.
Scheduled to take place in two of the most visited tourist destinations of the country: Jakarta and Bali, the golf series will be held spanning the course of 8 months, - from November 2016 to May 2017 - in four qualifying rounds.
The qualifying rounds will be held twice this year on 3rd November at the Emeralda Golf Course, Jakarta and on 3rd December at Nirwana Bali Golf Club, with twice in 2017 on 2nd February at the Sentul Highland Golf Club, West Java and 15th April at the New Kuta Golf Club in Bali. As pinnacle, the grand finals will be held in May 2017 awaiting confirmation on location and exact date.
The 4 rounds golf tournament offers a vast range of intercontinental itineraries with stableford on handicap system. Players need to finish in top 30 of only one round to qualify for the finals and the chance to win the prestigious prize. It will be a professionally run series with respected golf & rules personnel on the organizing committee.
Each round in the series will be exciting and full of fantastic prizes and activities, with Play & Stay packages created around each round, allowing players to practice before the competition and enjoy activities and facilities following the competition. For international participants, attractive accommodation packages will be offered, to be able to experience the delights of Indonesia.
As Grand Prize, Indonesia Ultimate Golf Series will award winners with a trip for 2 to the British Open Golf Championship in 2017. More familiarly known as the British Open, the major championship which dates back to 1860. Two final winners will be awarded with the opportunity to enjoy the British Open at Royal Birkdale next year.
The series is a collaboration between Bespoke Events Indonesia and Easy Golf Bali, both experienced golf event experts with a wealth of experience in golfing and golf events in Indonesia. To oversee the Indonesia Ultimate Golf Series’ rules and conduct, the committee has appointed Mr. Eddy Pantja, one of the most renowned golf referees in
Indonesia with years of national and international refereeing experience, as Director of Golf.
The series is expected to be attended by approximately 500 participants (golfers, VIP and guests) during the dinner celebration. As one of the most prestigious golf events in Indonesia,the Indonesia Ultimate Golf Series is projected to be one of the best golf series events of the season.
