Two third of the world's coral reefs are found in Indonesia, said Indonesia's Tourism Minister, Arief Yahya. The country has received numerous international awards for its precious dive destinations. Indonesia's Raja Ampat and Labuan Bajo were recognized as the world's top and second best snorkeling destinationsby CNN and Dive Magazine. Most recently, Dive Magazine awarded Indonesia the title of World's Best favorite Dive Destination 2017.

"We have over 25 excellent dive destinations with over 500 unique characteristics. Do come and experience these yourself, where each destination offers its own particular sensation. There are 10 priority marine destinations that will indulge with their ultimate underwater splendor. These are Bali, Lombok, Labuan Bajo, Alor, Derawan, Bunaken, Togean, Wakatobi, Ambon, and Raja Ampat," said Minister, Arief Yahya.

Deputy for International Tourism Market Development of the Ministry of Tourism, I GdePitana, confirmed that Indonesia will be represented by some 50 sellers offering a wide range of diving packagesacross the archipelago. "Among the many, we will offer sensational diving experiences in Sabang (Aceh Province), Bali, North Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara, and West Papua," said I Gde Pitana. At the Expo, Sellers are ready to meet Buyers and reveal the fascinating features of each dive site, and offer dive packages to the 60 buyers who will attend ADEX, who are from dive associations, dive communities, dive travel agents and tour operators, as well as Singapore's press and media.

The event will also feature product presentations by the Tourism Ministry's Team for the Acceleration of Marine Tourism Development, followed by a presentation by Garuda Indonesia on air connections available from between Singapore to the far-flung Indonesian dive sites.

"The presentation on connectivity is of utmost importance since these dive spots are spread out in different locations across the sprawling Indonesian islands. After the presentation, there will be an interactive dialogue with Buyers to receive feedback on perceived problems to bring divers from Singapore to Indonesia dive sites," said Assistant Deputy for South East Asia Market Development of the Ministry of Tourism, Rizki Handayani Mustafa.
