Today hailed as the largest B to B travel fair in Indonesia,the 3rd Bali & Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) will again take place this year at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) from 22 -26 June by the fabled shores of Bali.
Presenting the theme “Where the World comes to Meet”, the event will bring together Buyers from around the world to meet Sellers presenting the diverse attractions of the Indonesian Archipelago, all under one roof in one single forum : from adventure travel into the Borneo jungles to get close to the orangutans, to mind-boggling underwater dives around the Komodo seas, to experiencing an inspiring beautiful morning sunrise on the peak of the Borobudur temple. As a business to business (B2B) event, BBTF offers Indonesia’s best destinations and facilities that provide unforgettable experiences to visitors and business clients.
BBTF arranges Buyers meet Sellers meetings through pre-scheduled appointments (PSA) and business sessions facilitating discussions and negotiations for both immediate and long-term partnership in the business of leisure,corporate travel and meetings. At the press conference held on 10th May 2016 at the Sapta Pesona Building of the Ministry of Tourism in Jakarta, Chairman of BBTF 2016, I Ketut Ardana reported that to date, the number of international buyers who have confirmed attending the event has already reached 309, exceeding the initial target of 275. These come from 42 countries including from : Australia, Germany, the United Arab Emirates,India, Malaysia, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Singapore, United Kingdom,United States of America, China, and more. This year, business transactions are targeted to reach IDRp. 9.3 trillion, an increase of 43% from last year’s,which recorded IDRp. 5.2 trillion.
From this year on, Bali & Beyond Travel Fair will co-highlight another particular destination to co-host the event. This year, South Sulawesi wil re-introduce the fascinating culture and breathtaking natural landscapes of the province . This year BBTF will be co-hosted by the Toraja Highlands which boasts the brand “Discover the Sacred Highlands”. In addition, the diverse wonders of the Indonesian archipelago will be featured through Sellers from various parts of Indonesia including from: Bali, South Sumatra, East Kalimantan, West Nusa Tenggara, Yogyakarta, the Toraja Highlands, and much more.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Tourism as main sponsor where Indonesia aims to meet its target of welcoming 20 million tourists by 2019. In the official press release, Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya stated: “The event highly attracts international buyers to “shop” for various tour packages on offer on Bali as well as other parts of the archipelago. Bali is in a strategic position since from the total number of international tourist arrivals to Indonesia, near to 40% entered through the airport of Bali”
