After last year’s absence, the biggest Rock Festival in Indonesia, Java Rockin’land is back this year to storm Jakarta with great music from top International Rock Bands and Indonesia’s finest rock musicians. The two days rocking fiesta of Java Rockin’land 2013 will be held at the Karnaval Beach, Ancol, Jakarta on the weekend of 22nd to 23rd June 2013, coinciding with Jakarta’s 486th anniversary celebrations.

This year, organizers of the festival, the Java Festival Production, will prepare 6 stages to host over 36 shows for the two days’ festival.

We’re Gonna Rock You Harder Than Ever” is the promise made by the organizers, that is also the tagline for the 4th edition of Java Rockin’land. Using the old recipe , (that has proven to have consistently worked ) the organizers wil this year again present a wide variety of rock genres to  repeat the success that the event enjoyed since its first edition in 2009. The wide variety of rock genres offered in Java Rockin’land 2013 is expected to let audiences experience for themselves the true rock sensation emanating from the many different musical performances and not merely  to focus on one or two shows.

Suicidal Tendencies an American thrash metal band which is widely acknowledged  as “The Father of Crossover Thrash”  leads the lineup of this year’s festival. Formed in 1981, the band just released  their 13th album aptly entitled “13”. The band has received several Grammy nominations for their hits such as “You Can Bring Me Down”, “Institutionalized", “Nobody Hears”. Additionally, making the first appearance ever in Indonesia, is the blast from the 90’s alternative rock scene: Collective Soul. With hits such as “Shine”,”Smashing Young Man”,”Gel”,”The World I Know”, and others, the audience will be indulged with the great sounds of the 90’s alternative rock.

From Indonesia’s own Rock scene, the festival will be highlighted with some of the exceptional names such as Andra and the Backbone, Edane, Gugun Blues Shelter, Jasad, and Siksa Kubur.

More names are expected to be announced soon as the actual date of the festival approaches.
