Come 22 September, K-Pop Superstars, among whom: Super Junior, Girls Generation, Kangta, BoA, TVXQ!, SHINee, f(x), and EXO will thrill Jakarta to fever pitch with their dynamic and catchy music and dance.
History is about to be made as 50 of the biggest names in Korean Pop music will converge at Indonesia’s biggest and most historical stadium, the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, in the center of the city. Undoubtedly the biggest concert yet to be held in Indonesia: the SMTOWN Live World Tour III. The concert will present over 40 hits and is expected to last more than four hours.
SMTown Live World Tour III is the 2012 world-wide live concert tour by all artists under Korean record label SM Entertainment. Every year SM Entertainment conducts a world tour for all their artists to put their best performances together. This year, the tour kicked off with the successful opening concert at Anaheim, California on May 20, 2012 which was attended by an audience of 12,000. The following concert in Taiwan was even played to a larger crowd of 30,000.
The rising popularKorean wave has struck Indonesia for a while now ranging from TV series, movies, and -most definitely music. Fan clubs have been established, dedicated websites appear, group events and gathering are held, and with no time at all, a new rapidly expanding Korean lover community was born in Indonesia.. Acknowledging this rapid expansion and the growing demand for grand-scale K-pop live performances, two Indonesian top promoters W Production and MP Entertainment have joined forces in organizing this one of a kind concert.
Tickets sales will start on Friday, 10 August 2012. For Friday' sales, authorized ticket seller Myticket is set to open two ticket booths at the fountain area of Grand Indonesia’s West mall, Central Jakarta, and at the Sands Ballroom in Mangga Dua Square, North Jakarta. The booths are slated to open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Prior to the public sales, several authorized fan bases, such as SJ World and Exo Indonesia, are permitted to book tickets until Wednesday. The promoters have allocated over 30,000 tickets in 5 categories with price ranges from IDR500,000 to IDR2,500,000.
