The “Indonesia – A Touch of Harmony” concert is a performance by the
Jakarta based Twilite Orchestra, conducted by Addie MS, as a showcase of
the Indonesian music and culture presented in Western symphonic music.
The concert will feature orchestral works by Indonesian composers,
Indonesian evergreen and traditional songs, and Colin McPhee’s most
notable Balinese-themed composition for two pianos and orchestra, “Tabuh
Tabuhan”. The concert also aims to promote closer friendship and better
understanding between Indonesia and Australia.

Performing in the concert are, from Indonesia: Binu Dalip Sukaman
(soprano), Utha Likumahuwa, pianists Levi Gunardi & Johannes Sebastian
Nugroho, and the Twilite Chorus; and from Australia: Stephen Smith
(tenor), and Australian Idol Jessica Mauboy. The Twilite Chorus will
team up with the Sydney based Catholic Indonesian Community Choir.

This concert is presented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the
Republic of Indonesia and the Consulate General of the Republic of
Indonesia in Sydney, and supported by the Australian Embassy in Jakarta
and the Australia-Indonesia Institute.
