Bali Prestige Tours & Travel was recognized by the ResidenSea and luxury Cruise Liner m/v “The World” as among its Top 10 Tour Operators for 2010, in a ceremony on 13 March held in conjunction with the recent Seatrade Conference in Miami, USA.
The Award was received by Bali Prestige Director, Elly Malaihollo at a Special “Celebration of Excellence” ceremony. Ms. Malaihollo explained to www.indonesia.travel that the award was in recognition of the services that she and her team gave to the passengers of the ship called “The World”. The World is a most luxurious and the only ship in the world, at this moment, which has 162 exclusive apartments on board. The vessel has one bedroom, two bedrooms and three bedrooms apartments complete with dining/ living, working room and all the essential needs of an office in an apartment.
Owners of the apartments on board are owners of the m.v The World. Apartments are not sold to the public (as are on other cruise ships), but are used exclusively by their owners, family members or personal friends.
The ship was in Indonesian waters from 6th to 18th February, 2010 and Ms. Malaihollo was asked to accompany them on board ship from Broome, Australia, so that she could give them an overview of what to expect, what to see, and give a presentation onboard while cruising from Australia to KOMODO Island.
Besides calling on Komodo, home of the world's last dragon, m.v The World also visited the magical island of Bali and then to Semarang to see the mighty Borobudur. In Semarang all the VIP passengers were honoured with a Special Dinner given by the Governor of Central Java, which the owners most appreciated as one of the highlights of their cruise.
