Indonesia’s finest cuisine as incorporated in the 30 Traditional Culinary Icons of Indonesia will be aggressively promoted to the international world at the Vakantiebeurs Tourism Fair, which is scheduled to take place at the Jaarbeurs, Utrecht, in the Netherlands from 14th to 19th January 2014.
Presenting to the world Indonesia’s mouth-watering dishes, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia collaborates with renowned Indonesian Top Chef, Vindex Tengker.
As special part of the Indonesian Pavilion, the 30 culinary Icons will be spread out for visitors to taste, including succulent Rendang, Sate Maranggi, Balinese Sate Lilit, spicy Ayam Bumbu Rujak, and plenty more, reported Antaranews.com. During the exhibition, two Indonesian chefs will give cooking demonstrations to the audience of the above 30 items. There will also be a culinary hands-on demo staged at the cooking studio in Utrecht.
The Indonesian Pavilion will also present regular cultural performances and a special fashion show called the Solo Batik Carnival.
Vakantiebeurs is the largest Tourism and Recreational Fair in the Netherlands which provides opportunities for all tourism related industries from around the world and the general public to meet travel operators, hoteliers, and airlines, to conduct business and develop worldwide networks.
In 2009, Indonesia played an important role as a partner country of the fair.
Carying the theme “Phinisi Ship & Culinary”, the Indonesian Pavilion will be located at Hall 4, Number C.066. Among the tourist businesses on hand selling attractive tours to the many exciting destinations in the Indonesian Archipelago are, among others: Smaragd Reizen, Adventure Sumatera, Antar Anda Tour, Dari-Java Indonesie Travel, Sunda Trails, Bali Exotic Holidays, Tari Travel, Domestic Asia, Budi Tours (PT. Asli Budi Tours & Travel), Synergi Ravelino Tour & Travel, Panorama Destination, Happy Holiday, Aerowisata, Pure Travel, and Buitenzorg Reizen.
The Indonesian delegation will also hold a two hours media workshop inviting 100 Netherlands and international journalists to the Juliana Restaurant, Amsterdamsestraatweg Utrecht.
