Asia Pacific Hash 2014 across Bali, Flores and Komodo

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will present the Wonderful Adventure Indonesia: Asia Pacific Hash 2014 to take place in Bali and Labuan Bajo, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara from 9th to 11th May 2014.
Carrying the tagline "Fun, Friendship, and Fitness", the event that uniquely combines Sports and tourism will take the participants through some of the most fascinating natural landscapes of the fabled island of Bali and Flores. Participants will be competing for 2 days in Bali and another 2 days from Labuan Bajo to Komodo featuring routes that will take them across traditional villages, farming fields, river crossings, riverside, hills and mountains, and other thrilling tracks.
WAI- Asia Pacific Has 2014 will bring together hash enthusiasts from all over the globe. Up to 22nd November 2013, the number of participants registering for the event has passed 1,796 and originate from various countries including Australia, U.K, Brunei Darussalam, the Netherlands, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, and more. The number will likely grow as registration is still open; however participation is limited to 2000.
Recognized as a mixture of athletics and sociability, hashing is an exhilaratingly fun combination of running, orienteering, and partying. Participants will not only run through designated routes, but they also need to look for clues and signs as a guides which will be placed in certain spots.
Bali and East Nusa Tenggara (Labuan Bajo-Komodo) are chosen to be the site of the event to further promote potential international Sports Tourism destinations in Indonesia. The event is fully supported by the regional governments of Bali Province, Denpasar City, and the Regencies of Badung, Gianyar, Klungkung, and Tabanan, as well as West Manggarai, Ende , and Sikka Regencies in Flores.
