Legian Beach Festival 2013

Entering its 7th year, the Legian Beach Festival will once again unveil the cultural wealth and variety in Indonesia especially on the fabled island of Bali. The Festival will take place along the beachside road between Jalan Melasti, Jalan Padma, and Legian, near the Kuta Beach area from 5th to 8th September 2013.


One of the main attractions at the Festival will be the many stands offering local crafts by highly skilled Balinese jewelers, sculptors and painters as well as clothes, shoes, bags, etc. Following the outstanding success of both the modern and traditional entertainment which brought in the crowds in 2012, Legian Beach Festival will again feature two stages, one at the Jl. Melasti and one at the Jl. Padma.


As always, the Festival will feature various traditional dances and music performances from many parts of the archipelago including: BaliJakarta, Bogor City, Jambi ProvinceTanjung Pinang Citythe island of Sulawesi and other regions.


The Legian Beach Festival 2013 will also be highlighted with a parade & professional  Barong Performance.  While, the modern entertainment section the festival will feature live music performances of talented musicians and artists such as Bali’s own ‘Ronaldgang’ blues & rock band, reggae band 'Kingston Soul', fusion band 'Khatulistiwa', and many others.


Aside from music, dances, and art performances, the event is also a culinary festival which will feature local, national, and international cuisine such as Bali’s own lawar, sate lilit, and babi gulingPadang cuisines from SumatraWest JavaEast Java, and many others. From the International scene, the event will be highlighted by culinary delights  from India, Italy, Japan, Mexico and other countries around the world.


Other activities include Fun Health Walk with prize draw, Surfing tuition & competitions, Painting Competition, Chess Tournament, Judo demonstrations, Tug-of-War competitions, Miss Legian Beach Festival 2013 Competition, Fashion Shows and Special activities for children.
