Returning for its 5th edition, the Asean Jazz Festival will once again groove the shores of Harbor Bay, Batam on 22-23 June 2012.

Just as in previous years, the Festival features some of the best and most popular international Jazz stars as well as Indonesia’s finest musicians.

In this spectacular line up are : Erik Hargrove (USA), Nathasa Pattamapongs and Arnat Lamwongsrikul (Thailand), Jerry De Leon and Sandra Viraj (The Philipines), Steve Thornton (Malaysia), Jeremy Tordjman (France), Kamal Musallam (UAE), Carlos Kamil ( Colombia), Radza Rasc (Syria), Nasser Salameh (Jordania), I. Varella (Mexico), Jeremy Trodjman (Switzerland), and Ian Iron (England).



From Indonesia, the country’s best jazz musicians will be present. They are : Dwiki Dharmawan, Tri Utami, Barry Likumahua, Andien, Dira Sugandi, Nita Aartsen, Ligro, Adi Darmawan, Agam hamzah, Gusti Hendy, Eugene Bounty, Zulhamsyah, Donny Sunjoyo, Dani Syah, Johnes Radianto, Adi Prasojo, Rio Moreno Quartet, and Bintang Indrianto.



The ASEAN Jazz Festival is held on the holiday island of Batam, - just half an hour by ferry from Singapore and Malaysia, - to allow easy access for all ASEAN Countries’ jazz enthusiasts to join in this great ASEAN musical gathering.

Hailed as an event that presents jazz not only as entertainment but also as a media for education and appreciation, the Asean Jazz Festival is an annual event initiated since 2008 by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia

The Asean Jazz Festival also acts as an invitation for visitors from all over South East Asia to further explore the marvels of Indonesia.
