Transition to Endemic: Five requirements imposed on International Tourists

5 Syarat Untuk Wisatawan Selama Masa Transisi Endemi

Indonesia is currently transitioning into the endemic phase of Covid-19. However, this does not mean that health protocols can then be entirely disregarded. The Covid-19 Handling Task Force, in their latest circular, emphasizes the importance of continued compliance with health protocols, especially by visitors.

For those of you who are planning to travel within or outside the city, always keep in mind these five things suggested by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force:

  1. Travelers are encouraged to complete Covid-19 vaccination, including the second booster dose or fourth dose, especially those at high risk of Covid-19 transmission (such as people with underlying health conditions, the elderly, people with weakened immune systems, and those who are obese).

  2. Tourists are actually allowed not to wear masks if they are in good health and not at risk of contracting or transmitting Covid-19. However, it is advised that you wear a properly covered mask if you feel unwell or at risk of Covid-19, both before and during travel, as well as during activities in public facilities.

  3. Always carry hand sanitizer and/or use soap and regularly wash your hands with running water, especially after touching or using commonly shared objects such as door handles, taxi seats, etc.

  4. If you feel unwell and or worried that you are at risk of contracting or transmitting Covid-19, it is advised to maintain distance or avoid crowded areas to prevent the spread of the virus.

  5. Consistently use the SATUSEHAT application to record and monitor your personal health during your travel.
